and now for something a little bit different... a historical (Regency-era) book cover painted for author Lesley-Anne McLeod. you can buy the book here.

from her website:
Lady Iphigenia Brierley is trapped by poverty that she must conceal from the beau monde. She must satisfy her hunger at the ton parties to which she is invited. She gambles to obtain money for clothing. And she despises her dissolute father, fears her elder brother, and tolerates the younger. The Marquess of Wessington is wealthy beyond her imagining. His return to society from travels abroad coincides with a time of crisis in her pitiable family. He offers himself as rescuer. But the question will not leave her...why?

I really don't understand why no one else has posted a comment yet. Your art is simply beautiful! As a great lover of historical romance, I can appreciate your fine depiction of such a scene. Truly, it's quite lovely! Keep up the great work!

Am I Chuang Tzu who dreamed that he was a butterfly, or a butterfly now dreaming that he is Chuang Tzu?
-Chuang Tzu (369 B.C - 286 B.C)
thank you so much! it means a lot to me to hear that. i love historical romances too and it is a great joy to have the chance to illustrate covers.
